From 2013 – 2021, Fringes partnered with our sister organization Tikkun Olam Chavurah to create High Holiday services. Prior to COVID, we met in a historic Mennonite church in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia – a church that has also taken brave political stances, including welcoming LGBT members, and which has become a partner to TOC, including joint trips to Occupied Palestine.
For our liturgy we used the Reconstructionist machzor Prayerbook for the Days of Awe plus supplements with the mix of poems and contemporary liturgy that Fringes brings to the partnership.
Below you’ll find the supplements we’ve built over the years, plus some of the talks and other readings we’ve used.
